Mancunian Maze — Barney Ibbotson + Dan Hett

Earlier this year creative coder Dan Hett and illustrator Barney Ibbotson collaborated on an exhibition. Dan took tiles illustrated by Barney and fed them through some maze-generation algorithms, connecting the tiles to create dense intricate designs that they called 'Meanderings'. This time, they’ve created a special Manchester edition, where the patterns within the tiles are hand-drawn words depicting the stops of the Manchester Metrolink (tram) system, via which the towns and people of Manchester connect with each other. The stop names in this Mancunian maze are colour-coded by tram route.
